My father in law Jack Cheatle
was first violinist in RTE Light orchestra, he also had his own saloon orchestra and was asked to play at a dinner given for JFK in Dublin in 1963. In those days musicians were not treated that well so he was really pleased when JFK came up and shook hands with him and said “I see you are a Jack too”
