I was 13 at the time of President Kennedy’s visit. I was at home with my family watching him addressing the Dail on tv when there was a knock on the door. My little brother went to answer it and we heard him telling the caller that his parents were watching President Kennedy ‘dressing the doll’! I sent this little story off to Woman’s Way; it was published and I received one guinea – a princely sum to a 13 year old!
