I worked in OPW as an architect and was a member of the Civil Service Dining Committee of Dublin, Earlsfort Terrace. I was a member of the committee catering for the Garden Party in Iveagh House. Got very close to take some wonderful photos seated at tables but when Kennedy arrived, everyone surged forward. He was crowded by people and two security guards but he was generous with his time. I was in the Civil Service Dining Club when the news came through he had been assassinated. Everyone was devastated, men were crying.
