Brazen

Recall the athmosphere of the day with all the school kids in O’Kennedy park.My brother Paddy formed the human chain of “Cead Mile Failte”. We were all in awe with the arrival of the Presidential Helicopters and then seeing JFK coming over to meet us.I somehow managed to get up from being in front of him to get right beside him.Not sure my school Principal John Duggan & Ger Donovan would have approved. As the cortege left I ran alongside all the way down to the quay shaking his hand several times to the amusement of his security guards. Yes some fond memories!
